The U.P. is also known for serving some of the best food you’ll find anywhere, so we went looking and found a place that makes something called whitefish sausage. If you want fresh fish, Van Landschoot & Sons Fish House is the place to go in Munising. Their boats go out daily and you can get your fish whole, filleted, smoked or, if you like something different, in a sausage.
At first the thought of a sausage being made of fish seemed unsavory, but at the Fish House it was fishy, sausagey and absolutely delicious.
