Over 3 million trout a year cut their teeth right here at the Jordon River National Fish Hatchery in Elmira. This amazing place is staffed by a dedicated collection of caring conservationists who’ve made sure that these fish survive and thrive since 1965.

Now if you’re wondering how the heck you hatch this many fish in one place … I was too … so I dropped in a line and reeled in Roger Gordon. He’s the hatchery manager here … and pretty much father fish.

If you’re an ardent anglers and you wanna meet your future fish, or you just wanna see what it takes to keep the great lakes going, check out the Jordon River National Fish Hatchery. They’ll show about a million reason why what they’re doing here is so important.
