“Farewell to Arms”
Story Behind the Name
When you sit at the same bar as Ernest Hemingway, you start to think you hear ghosts. You’re occupying the same space in time as one of the greats. It’s a weird feeling. And it was a great way to wrap up this show, with Papa’s favorite martini in hand, sitting at his seat at the bar.
Detroit
I love going to Detroit because there’s a true renaissance happening there. Inspired people are finding opportunities. New businesses are opening everywhere, and more and more people are venturing out to reconnect with the city.
As always, we had a great time in Detroit. There are so many interesting people to meet and new places to discover that we’ll be back again and again.
Petoskey
There’s no question that Petoskey is one of Michigan’s crown jewels. It’s a beautiful town filled with friendly people, great shops, restaurants, awesome bay views and tons of cool things to do. There’s no wonder it’s such a popular summer and winter vacation spot for so many families. We went in the winter, and if you’re thinking they hibernate there, nothing could be further from the truth. Petoskey is wide awake in the winter. There are people out everywhere. Businesses are bustling, and despite the cold, you always get a warm welcome.
Regardless of the season, there are tons of fun and interesting things to do in Petoskey. You really owe it to yourself to get up (or down) there, explore the town and have your own UTR adventure.
