Seems like our time on Beaver Island was coming to a close … so we boarded the historic Emerald Isle Ferry and headed back to the Michigan mainland for yet another UTR adventure …
This 130 foot ferry is literally the lifeline for the island. Heck it holds almost 300 people … carries cars … and can even squeeze in a simi. It’s how most people get to and from. The two hour trip was a blast … and the captain even let me try my hand at the wheel for a while … well, actually he made me use two hands.
If you’re looking for a fun and fascinating memory making Michigan Island adventure … float or fly yourself over to beautiful Beaver Island. Who knows … if you go … you just might have as much fun as we did. Any more … and you may end up living there … bonus !!!
