If we haven’t given you enough reasons to come to Lansing, here’s one more. And it’s more fun than a barrel of monkeys. I should know; the UTR crew is one. I’m talking about The Lansing Lugnuts, a minor league baseball team that plays at Cooley Law School Stadium, right in the heart of downtown Lansing. Just walk into the stadium and you’re instantly impressed. Thousands of loyal fans and first timers go there all summer long to yell, “Go, Nuts!”

The stadium is a beautiful state-of-the-art facility, and there’s not one bad seat in the house. Not only is the baseball great there, they really go out of their way to make this a truly entertaining experience. With everything from great family contests and events between innings to specials like ladies night, they make it baseball and a whole lot more.

The day we were at the park, management actually let me throw out the first pitch, and like any finely tuned athlete, I took some time to stretch with the team on the field. Who knows, there might have been a scout at the park. After burning one in at a whopping forty-three MPH, I decided not to quit my UTR day job.

There’s so much going on, on and off the field, that you can’t help but have a great time. Now I know why people have been telling me to go to a Lansing Lugnuts game for so long. And now I’m telling you. I don’t think you’ll have more fun at a ballpark anywhere. This place is a definite home run… get it? Oh, boy.
