Next we went to a very cool place called The Gildner Gallery. Downstairs it’s a top-notch flower shop called The Coop that has everything you need for fine floral occasions. But upstairs is a whole different story.
Upstairs owner Ann Gildner has brought art to downtown Cheboygan. The gallery space up there is very organic and features works from tons of talented local artists. It also serves as an artist co-op and think tank. You’ll find a great mixed bag of creative stuff, from classic oils to funky watercolors and mixed media masterpieces.
Ann is very passionate about the art she creates and the art community she’s helped create in Cheboygan. If you like your art and friendly people all wrapped up in a groovy place, put this place on your Michigan bucket list.
