If you really want to know about what’s happening in and around Detroit, one of the best places to tune into is The Craig Fahle Show on Wayne State University’s Public radio station, WDET. With a bit of an invitation, we invaded his studio to find out a little bit more about the man behind the microphone. What we found was one of the most prepared and informed radio show hosts on the planet. We also encountered a man who deeply cares about Detroit, the people who live there and the success of the entire region. He also happens to be one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet.
I asked Craig how he always seems to know everything about what’s happening in the world. He told me his secret. He reads everything he can get his hands on and talks to everyone and anyone who’s making a difference in the community. He went on to say that education and information is the key: “If you investigate and get good, accurate information, you can form clear opinions.”
Another thing I really appreciate about Craig is that he is very fair and even-handed with his presentation. He presents the listener with the facts and then lets them form their own conclusions. He fills your mind and lets you mind the rest. Craig is what I like to call a clear thinker, and this world could certainly use a few more of those.
