For almost 80 years the Safie family has been proudly pickling their products, and my palate tells me they’ve pretty much perfected the process. Their jars of freshly pickled vegetables somehow taste even better than the day they were picked. Now, if you’re wondering what their family secret is … fear not, because Mary Safie & Victoria Safie-Cusumano have promised to tell me everything … mmwwwaaa!

It really was a pleasure watching these dedicated and skilled people process and prepare this parade of pickled pleasures. And we were welcomed with so many open arms that, quite frankly, we lost count. They were one of the greatest crews this side of the sun.
