Michigan Wines’ Gold Medal Wine Reception

UTR-Webmaster Episode 407

55 S. Harrison Rd East Lansing, MI

You know … the only thing that bothers me about people who wine a lot … is when they don’t call me when they’re doing it !!!!

Well, I got the call this time … and it was to attend the Michigan Wine Competition and Gold Medal Reception at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center on the campus of Michigan State University. These are the movers, shakers and grape crushers of Michigan … and these ‘whiners’ are here tonight to pick, taste and celebrate the winners.

Before I got to some serious tasting, I thought it would be a good idea to spend some time with Linda Jones … She’s The Executive Director at the Michigan Grape and Wine Industry Council. She took me to college with her wine knowledge.

Whenever I talk about wine, I always say there’s only two kinds, the kind you like and the kind you don’t like. Well, there’s also a third kind, the kind you haven’t tried yet. And if you haven’t tried Michigan wines lately, you’re in for a big surprise!
