At Martha’s Leelanau Table they actually have a lot of tables, which is good because the way we eat on this show, we may need a couple.
Martha Ryan took a classic little house right downtown and turned it into a place where everyone can enjoy her home cooking. It’s a casual European-style bistro where everything is made from scratch and from fresh Northern Michigan ingredients. Renowned celebrity Chef Mario Batali actually said that Martha’s Leelanau Table is one of his favorite places to eat, so this place keeps good company.
Martha takes her culinary consciousness seriously. Every year she leads tours to Europe, and the culinary experiences of her travels are directly reflected in her ever-changing menu. She also strives to create from foods currently available in season. Martha’s may close during some of the winter months, so be sure and call ahead.
We filled up on Martha’s awesome food and her incredible hospitality and made our usual mess at the table. We also made a new friend, but that’s easy to do at Martha’s Leelanau Table.
