Kowalski and quality … have you ever noticed those two words rhyme? Coincidence? I don’t think so.
And, if you want to know what quality smells like … just walk by the Kowalski Factory in Hamtramck and the incredible aroma of sausages and smoked meats will totally give it away. Oh, that and the giant sausage being skewered by a colossal fork is a bit of a giveaway too.
For almost 100 years now, the Kowalski family and company have been putting meat on our tables and in our lunch boxes. Michael Kowalski and his sister Linda Kowalski Jacob are fourth generation stewards of this family and Detroit tradition … and they have no plans to change anything anytime soon.
We had so much fun touring the Kowalski factory and meeting all the proud people who get these quality meats to market. And spending time with Michael and Linda was great, they gave me a true taste of how proud they are to carry on a family tradition that’s been such a big part of all of our lives. Of course, getting a true taste of some of their awesome sausage didn’t hurt either.
