Before we left East Tawas, a lot of folks told us we just had to stop by Klenow’s Market right downtown. I guess they smoke more than just the fish and beef there. Apparently they also smoke the competition. They’re a great little all-purpose market that has won some major awards for their smoked meats. They make incredible smoked salmon and even make their own smoked jerky and salami sticks. I had a salami stick with the jalapeno cheese inside… wow. Great folks carrying on a great, smoky tradition.
