If you’re the kind of person who likes to keep your friends close and your beer even closer, we’ve got just the place for you! Frank’s Eastside Tavern is unusual because it’s a real, legal and fully functioning tavern that’s in Frank’s house. You read right; it’s in his house. Actually, it’s down in his basement, and believe it or not, they’ve been serving adult beverages down there for more than a hundred years. Back in 1909 you could get a glass of beer at Frank’s for two cents. It must have been happy hour 24/7 back then.

Owner Frank DeBruyn is a great old guy who orders the beer, cooks the burgers, keeps things lively, and when he’s done for the day, his commute is up the stairs and then he’s off to bed. Even though Frank’s is a tiny place (you won’t be playing darts at Frank’s), believe it or not, on weekends they actually have live music.

This place gives the phrase “up close and personal” a whole new meaning. Frank’s is a small place with a big heart. All are welcome, and after literally rubbing elbows with the locals, you’re instant family. WARNING: if you’re more than six feet tall, you’ll need to mind your head at Frank’s. Come in, stay low, say hi and order a beer. That’s how they roll at Frank’s.

To have a good time at Frank’s Eastside Tavern, all you have to do is let down your hair, walk down the stairs and you’re instantly everybody’s best friend. It’s real people, real small and really a lot of fun. It’s the kind of place where they make you feel like you belong.
