Detroit’s Center for Creative Studies is a place where young people learn the fine art of fine art and design … It’s also a place that’s so progressive and forward thinking that they actually looked back at an iconic building to move Detroit’s design students into the future.
I’m talking about the historic Argonaut Building in Midtown, where a lot of Detroit’s illustrious design history began … and where CCS students are exploring design today.
Aside from design, the College of Creative Studies is also know for it’s fine art program, and you won’t find a more inspirational purveyor of passion for the arts than Professor and Section Chair of Painting Gilda Snowden.
