Well … I don’t mean to scare your inner kid … but, right now it’s time for some science …

… and here on Beaver Island, Central Michigan University does a lot of it. At CMUs Institute for Great Lakes Research, students are learning a ton about the natural water world and what makes it work. And today you and I are learning about how an underwater drone is helping to find some pretty cool sub surface stuff.

Helping me sift through today’s science is Dr. Don Uzarski. He’s the program director here … and when it comes to connecting kids with our Great Lakes … he’s the captain. ..

I was really glad to see that Central Michigan University is doing such a great job letting these young people explore our natural world on this incredible island … I was also glad there wasn’t a pop quiz when we were done …
